Hey guys, just found this Reddit looking for help with this. https://treeretirement621.weebly.com/idm-cc-for-firefox-16.html. I've been thinking of getting rid of my Wii U - Other than Wind Waker, which is itself a GameCube port, there's nothing much left that didn't get a Switch or PS4 port - and getting my original Wii out of storage to go in its place for Gamecube compatibility and the like (I have a pretty big library of Wii games, but only a handful of Wii U). Problem is, I realised I had used the system transfer tool to copy all of my WiiWare, Virtual Console games and save data over to the Wii U, and Nintendo doesn't provide a tool to transfer it all back again.
It'd be really nice to be able to retire the Wii U and that big ol' gamepad and its charger, which are sitting there purely for a tiny handful of games, and be able to use my Wii library without having to go through all the extra steps of going into 'Wii Mode', and of course, get GameCube compatibility back without ripping any discs.
Hell, the Wii Shop Channel is closed now so I couldn't re-buy everything even if I wanted to, so I don't exactly have any issues with obtaining backups, but I'd feel a lot happier if I could just move over the stuff I paid for. But it's definitely console-locked so I won't be able to just transfer the SD card over. I just wondered if there's a way around the console lock, if anybody knows it?
